FEM Mechanical Constraints

The FEM Mechanical Constraints tool-set is used to define the forces that will be applied under the particular analysis.

The mechanical constraints available at the time of writing are as folllows:

  • Fixed Constraint
  • Displacement Constraint
  • Plane Rotation
  • Contact
  • Tie
  • Transform
  • Force Constraint
  • Self-Weight Constraint
  • Pressure Constraint
  • bearing
  • gear
  • pulley

The Fixed constraint makes a face or multiple faces fixed in space, as if they are attached to something immovable

The Force Constraint places an amount of force an the selected face.
